Fee Schedule Overview

> Fee > Fee Schedule

Fee schedules along with instalments are created to define the number of cycles in which a fee can be collected for a particular fee type. Example: A schedule can be added with any name, let’s say, ‘Quarterly’, in which any number of instalments can be added according to the user’s wish.

  • You may create fee schedules by adding instalments with a start date and end date.
  • It is mandatory to map a minimum of one class and add a minimum of one instalment in order to create a new schedule.
  • The schedules created can be mapped to the classes. A class can have more than one fee schedule mapped to it.
  • Two or more instalments of a particular fee schedule can’t have overlapping dates
  • Deletion of the fee schedule is not allowed if fee collection is initiated for even one student of any of it’s mapped classes as other fee-related entities like fee structure, fines, concessions are dependent on it.
  • You can copy the settings of a fee schedule and revise it to create a new one. This can be done by selecting the ‘Copy fee schedule’ option from the more actions (three dots) menu.

    Collect Fee :

If the collection is already done for a fee schedule:

    • You can’t unmap classes for which the fee collection has already happened.
    • You can’t delete/edit the instalments for which the end date has already passed.
    • If the start due date has not arrived for any instalment, you can change the start due date.
    • If the end due date has not arrived for any instalment, you can change the end due date.
    • Dates can be changed anywhere ranging from the current date to any date in future.

If no collection has been done for a fee schedule:

    • You can change anything for instalment dates until the selected date <= End due date.
    • You can map any new class and also add any number of instalments with a preferred start and end date within the bounds of the current active academic session.
