How to configure period structure for a timetable?

> Timetable > Timetable Dashboard > Period Structure

The period structure will be configured to create a time table. Periods, No. of periods, Duration of periods, Classes to be assigned needs to be configured to create a period structure.

  1. Click to add period structure. The new window will appear.
  2. Click on the top of the page to select Start and End Dates.
  3. Click to select Start Time for the period.
  4. Select No. of Periods/Day (ranging from 1 to 10) from the drop-down menu.
  5. Select Duration of Period (ranging from 20 to 90 min) from the drop-down menu.
  6. Click ASSIGNING CLASS to assign the class (multiple classes can also be selected) for period structure.
  7. Click Generate on the top right side of the page to generate the period structure. The period structure will be generated and displayed on the same page.
  8. Click on the right-hand side of the page to add a break to the period structure. The pop-up window will appear.
  9. Select Break Type (Assembly or Recess) from the drop-down menu.
  10. Enter Name for the break.
  11. Select Period from the drop-down menu after which the break will be added.
  12. Select End Time for the break and click OK.
  13. Click to edit the Period Name, Start Time and End Time of the period and click to save the changes.
  14. Click to delete the created period.
  15. Click Save and the period structure will be configured. All the configured period structures will be shown on the page including Start Date, End Date, Start Time, No. of Periods and Class.

NOTE:

  • Click to view the created period structure.
  • Click to edit the created period structure. 
    NOTE:
    Past date period structure can not be changed.
  • Click  to do the advanced settings. The pop-up window will appear to take confirmation to continue the editing. Click Continue. The new window will appear with the timetable. Click Available in the timetable to make that particular period NA or vice-versa. Click Save. 
  • Click View to view the advanced setting. The new window will appear to view the created timetable with the configured period structure of the timetable.
  • Click to edit the advanced settings. Click Continue if you want to proceed with the advanced settings. The new window will appear with the created timetable. Click Available in the timetable to make that particular period NA or vice-versa and click Save.
  • Click Edit to edit the created timetable. The new window will appear with the created timetable. Click Available in the timetable to make that particular period NA or vice-versa. Click Save.
  • Click to delete the created period structure.
