How to create a timetable?

The timetable can be created for the configured period structure. To configure the number of periods of the subjects in a week for classes, subject constraints can be configured in three ways: General Subjects, Parallel Subjects, Linked Subjects. In general subjects, the number of periods of each subject can be configured for the class and section. The number of periods can be configured for both Co-Scholastic and Scholastic subjects. By default, the period count will be set to zero for all the subjects. In parallel subjects, the classes with the same period structure are grouped together. 

  1. Click on the top right corner of the page to add a new timetable. The pop-up window will appear.
  2. Enter Name for the timetable.
  3. Click Save
  4. Turn on the toggle against the desired period structure to create a timetable and click Next. The new window will appear.
  5. Select GENERAL SUBJECTS tab on the top of the page to configure the number of periods of the subject. Take a pointer down to the name of desired subject, will appear to configure the No. of the periods/week. The pop-up window will appear.
  6. Enter No. of the periods/week, Min and Max Periods/Day and Min and Max Continuous Periods.
  7. Click Submit.
  8. Click on the top right corner of the page to do the advanced settings in general subjects. The new window will appear with the timetable.
  9. Select Section and Subject from the drop-down menu.
    NOTE:
    The period can be restricted if the teacher will be assigned to that period.
  10. Click APPLY TO ALL or SAVE.
  11. Select PARALLEL SUBJECTS tab on the top of the page to create a group (the students who are having different subjects on the same period of the same class). Click CREATE to create a group for the classes that are having the same period structure. The new window will appear.
    NOTE:
    Classes with the same period structure are grouped together.
  12. Enter Group No., Group Name.
  13. Click the box against Color Picker to select a colour for the group. 
  14. The classes with the same period structure will be displayed. Select class, the subjects with section will be displayed.
  15. Select Section for the subject. Click Save.
  16. Select LINKED SUBJECTS on the top of the page to link the subjects. The pop-up window will appear.
  17. Select Class, Section and Subjects from the drop-down menu.
  18. Select checkcircle against Consecutive(continuously two or more periods), Non-Consecutive(not continuous periods), Same Day(continuous periods on the same day) and Not on Same Day(continuous periods but not on the same day). Click Save.
  19. Click Proceed. The next window will appear to select a teacher.
  20. Select Maximum Continuous and Maximum Substitutions from the drop-down menu.
  21. Click to add teacher constraints.
  22. Click Generate.
